The theme of this year’s conference, “Indian Digital Revolution vis a vis Practice of Mental Health”, is both timely and significant. Integrating emerging digital technologies and neuroscience with compassionate, patient-centric care is essential to shaping the future of psychiatry.
The academic deliberations will highlight crucial areas such as mapping new territories, upskilling in liaison psychiatry, and forging stronger collaborations with other medical specialties. Understanding the role of psychological stress in the etiologic of various physical disorders is vital, and liaison psychiatry can greatly contribute to both prevention and comprehensive treatment of mental and physical illnesses.
